Update 1.24.17

It's a hard cone life for me.... ❤️Leo

Leo's surgery went well. The vet was able to remove the very large cyst on his thigh and the Mast Cell Tumor on his shoulder.  This tumor grew into his rib muscle so it made it more complicated to remove. We are hoping the vet was able to get it all. We will know more in about a week when we get the pathology back. 

The vet said she had to go back in and do some extra removal trying to get it all without damaging his muscle. This can be very difficult to get it all when it's attached to muscle. We have our paws crossed hoping that it's a low grade and we will do our part in providing him with the biologically appropriate nutrition that won't feed cancer cells.

Update 1.17.17

Leo: He is 7 years old and at a great weight. He has a mast cell tumor on his shoulder and a large cyst on the inside of his thigh that will be removed on January 24th. He is heartworm negative!  Today's bill for Leo was $121.00. Leo came to us from a shelter in East Texas.  His previous family could no longer care for him. Leo is neutered, chipped, current on vaccinations and heartworm negative! Leo is good with other pets and all people. He is crate trained, he likes to sleep in his crate as long as he has his special blanket. Leo has been given a lot of table scraps...he currently weighs in at 50 lbs! He is going on Biggest Loser: Boston Terrier Edition in his foster home and then he will be ready for adoption!
