STOP in the name of Love....My name is Iona, I was dropped off at the shelter by my owner. My neck was covered with rope wounds and I was so very frightened, but in a flash appeared an ABTR Angel that came to rescue me, you see my kind hardly ever make it out of the shelter. I am a Boston/Bulldog mix so I am a larger size girl. I am so excited to say I am now ready to adopt my new forever family.
I currently share a home with some fun loving Boston Terriers friends and I get along perfectly with them. I am beautifully house-trained, walk nicely on a leash and I have completed a training course with a professional trainer, so my manners are near perfection. I am good with the neighborhood children and the 13 yr old grandchild that visits often. Some of my favorite pastimes include watching the squirrels in the backyard, playing tug o war with my fur friends and cuddling with my humans. My foster mom says, I am quite the dancer and prancer and I am happy to show you my skills whenever you arrive back home. My outside activities include taking walks around the neighborhood and I do enjoy wading in the shallow end of the pool at my foster home. My two guilty pleasures are daily treats which I will gently take from your hand and I love to sleep in the human bed, but I promise I won't hog the bed!
I am not able to be crated, but I am trustworthy to be left within the home while you are away. If you are searching for a true companion who will fill your heart with joy, please Stop In the name of Love and fill out my adoption application.
(Please note that Iona is also heartworm positive but she's undergoing treatment!)
